Let the Journey Begin

Some six months ago I began the process of becoming a Chaplain with the Army Reserves.  It has been a long, yet rewarding process.  Last Friday, I made it past my final hurdle - the final Chaplain Board.  Praise the Lord!  I see this as an extension of my ministry in the church.  As I have told my church, this is basically me becoming their missionary to a much larger congregation.  What a blessing!  I look forward to seeing what the Lord has in store for my ministry.  I have been working on getting and keeping myself in good shape.  This has included routine 2 mile runs, push-ups, and sit-ups.  Definitely a greater challenge at near 40, than it was at 20.
